How to Plan a Party at a RestaurantIn Feburary 2016 25,

In Feburary 2016 25,
Choose a few restaurants you really like. Base your choices on personal experience, friends' recommendations and restaurant guidebooks like the Zagat series.
Speak to the managers of these establishments about renting a room - or the whole place, depending on the size of your party.
Have a conversation with the manager regarding the menu, the drinks, the bouncer and who's to pay for the services.
Create and sign a contract for the services, and be prepared to pay a deposit.
Send out invitations - via mail or e-mail - to the elite list of potential attendees.
Arrive early the day of the party and decorate if allowed and/or desired.
Treat the employees of the restaurant with the utmost respect and courtesy.
Mingle with your friends, enjoy good food and beverages and have a terrific time.
Pay the manager the remaining balance, and tip like you just won the lottery.

How to Transfer Free Disk Space From One Drive to AnotherIn Feburary 2016 19,

In Feburary 2016 19,
Click 'Start.' Type 'Computer Management' in the search box at the bottom of the 'Start' menu. Press 'Enter' to open the Computer Management console. Click 'Disk Management' under 'Storage' in the left pane.
Right-click on the drive letter, such as 'C' or 'D,' that you are reducing in size. Select 'Shrink Volume' from the menu.
Click the down arrow or manually type in the number of megabytes (MB) that you want to remove from the partition, next to 'Enter the Amount of Space to Shrink in MB.' The maximum amount of space you can take from the drive is listed next to 'Size of Available Shrink Space in MB.'
Click the 'Shrink' button. Wait for Windows to automatically remove the space from the partition. You will see a dialog box on the screen indicating the progress of the shrinking process. After Windows has finished, you might see that removed space in a neon-green partition labeled as 'Free Space.' That free space will not have a drive letter, such as 'C' or 'D.'
Extend Another Drive
Open the Computer Management console.
Right-click on the drive letter that you want to expand in size using the free space taken from the previous drive. Select 'Extend Volume' from the menu.
Click 'Next' in the 'Extend Volume Wizard' dialog box. Find the amount of available free space next to 'Maximum Available Space in MB.'
Find the box next to 'Select the Amount of Space in MB.' Type in a reduced number to save free space for other drives or leave the number as is to use all of it for the selected drive.
Click 'Next.' Wait for Windows to automatically add free space to the selected drive. Bring the Computer Management window back up after the process is complete. Verify that the selected drive has increased in size.

Movie Premiere Party IdeasIn Feburary 2016 14,

In Feburary 2016 14,
Create your own red carpet. You can use any red material, and it doesn't have to be very long. Folded or cut to fit your space. However you make it, guests will enjoy walking down a red carpet to enter the party. Take the idea further and lay out the red fabric on your walkway outside and illuminate it with paper lanterns or candles. Ensure guests have enough room to walk and aren't likely to tip over the candles.
Costumes
When you send your invitations, include a request to come in costume. Depending on your theme, invitees can dress as characters from movies or as Hollywood stars. This helps get your guests into the spirit of the night before they arrive.
Pictures with the Stars
Use life-size cardboard cutouts of movie stars to greet guests at the door. An alternative is to make the cutout a reporter, microphone in hand, and have your guests pose for interviews as they arrive. If you're celebrating a particular movie, use cutouts of that movie's characters; for a general Hollywood theme use a backdrop of the Hollywood sign to create this photo opportunity.
Themes
The premiere of a particular movie sets the theme for you. To add something to a general movie premiere-themed party, choose a movie genre for the guests' costumes. Base your party on the golden age of Hollywood and play movie classics such as 'Casablanca' or 'Citizen Kane' in the background. Choose a film noir theme and have your guests come dressed as characters from 'The Maltese Falcon' or 'The Big Sleep.'
Food and Drink
Serve food and drink compatible with the theme. Anything from canapés and champagne to popcorn and soda may be suitable, depending on the night's activities. Classic Hollywood calls for champagne, or sparkling cider, and sophisticated treats. If you plan on watching movies, theater foods get guests in the spirit of the evening.
Activities
Movie-trivia games can be tailored to any theme; present mini-Oscars to the game winners. Movie watching, especially if you encourage your guests to shout out comments and talk back to the characters, can be entertaining as well. If that's your plan, ask guests to bring their favorite movies. If you're hosting the party before a movie premiere, a game of plot-guessing can be fun; after you've seen the movie, give prizes to the people who guessed the outcome.

How to Host a Business MeetingIn Feburary 2016 03,

In Feburary 2016 03,
The meeting will move faster and be more focused if you have a reason to hold it. Even if it's a regular weekly meeting, it will be more productive if you have a specific goal. Draw up an agenda touching on the topics you want to cover. Stick to the agenda: If someone brings up an unrelated topic, tell them to talk about it with you after the meeting is over.
Invite Selectively
Don't invite people who don't need to be there. If all you need from someone is an update on her latest project, you can get that in an email. Keeping the meeting to a reasonable size keeps things more orderly and focused. It also frees up more people to do productive work.
Prep Your Attendees
Send out your agenda before the meeting, so everyone knows what to expect. If you call the meeting to deal with a recent development -- a change in the law, a project delay -- include the background information with the agenda. That way everyone will be up to speed and you have more time in the meeting to address the development.
Find the Right Space
Find a room that's large enough that everyone who attends can seat themselves comfortably. Squeezing people in or hunting for chairs is distracting, uncomfortable and makes you look unprepared. Confirm the room has any equipment you need and that it's in working order. This is particularly important if the meeting includes a slide show presentation or if someone's going to attend by phone or videoconference.
Steer the Meeting
Agendas aren't magic. Lots of meetings start with a goal, then the participants veer off onto tangents. If you're hosting, it's up to you to steer the ship back on course. If your guests include customers or upper management, you'll have to do this with a delicate touch, but it needs doing. End the meeting at the scheduled time.
Help People Relax
You don't want to run such a tight meeting everyone feels like they're in boot camp. Arrange for a supply of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. Allow some time at the beginning for small talk, as people naturally enjoy catching up with each other. Just don't let it run on to the point it delays the business at hand.

Brunch Party IdeasIn Feburary 2016 03,

In Feburary 2016 03,
Nibblers are the equivalent of appetizers at a cocktail party, but at a brunch party, the standards are more casual. Fruit platters are a great appetizer for brunch, and complement the breakfast theme as well. French toast slices with powdered sugar are another quick and easy nibbler, and you can even spice things up by offering different types of syrup at the table. In your grocery store's refrigerator section, you can purchase dime-size hot cakes, and follow up on your dipping idea with French toast. Don't hesitate to get creative!
Juices
If you really want to make an impact on your guests, offer a few kinds of homemade juices. Anyone can serve tea bags or juice from the carton, and your guests expect that. Wow them with anything from fresh squeezed orange juice to pink lemonade; it's bound to be appreciated. There are several recipes online where you can find fruit drink concoctions that are sure to knock the socks right off your guests (see foodnetwork.com site in Resources below).
Entrée Ideas
When hosting a brunch party, you can get away with making easy breakfast food, as long as you do it right. Scrambled eggs are a quick and easy way to fill up your guests and are best presented on a decorative platter. Hot cakes are another filling entrée that are easily served on a platter and complemented with a variety of syrups. Keep in mind that they are also easier to make for a large number of people, as opposed to items like waffles. Don't forget to include slices of toast on your menu, and maybe even a fruit parfait. Your guests are sure to have a great time, and leave happy with a full stomach.
