How to Plan a Party at a RestaurantIn Feburary 2016 25,
In Feburary 2016 25,
Choose a few restaurants you really like. Base your choices on personal experience, friends' recommendations and restaurant guidebooks like the Zagat series.
Speak to the managers of these establishments about renting a room - or the whole place, depending on the size of your party.
Have a conversation with the manager regarding the menu, the drinks, the bouncer and who's to pay for the services.
Create and sign a contract for the services, and be prepared to pay a deposit.
Send out invitations - via mail or e-mail - to the elite list of potential attendees.
Arrive early the day of the party and decorate if allowed and/or desired.
Treat the employees of the restaurant with the utmost respect and courtesy.
Mingle with your friends, enjoy good food and beverages and have a terrific time.
Pay the manager the remaining balance, and tip like you just won the lottery.

In Feburary 2016 19,
Open any FTP client. There are hundreds to choose from and you may already have one installed. Download a free client from FileZilla, WinSCP, gFTP or Cyberduck, among others.
Start a new connection if you've never connected to your web host through FTP. Each client is different, but the general process is the same. When you launch the FTP client a connection window will appear. If it doesn't, open the 'File' menu and look for 'New Connection...' or click the connect icon in the toolbar, if applicable.
Enter your host name and your web host username and password. The host name is usually your domain name, but check with your hosting provider if you're not sure. The connection type should say 'FTP' and you can check a box to save the information. Click 'Connect' or 'OK.'
Wait until the connection is established, then you'll see your WordPress files listed in the window. From here you can add or delete files as you need to. Use the toolbar icons to add or remove files or drag and drop them to and from your computer if your client software supports that.
Log out of your hosting account when you're done. There will either be a disconnect icon to click or just close the program.

How to Host a Ladies' Luncheon at ChurchIn Feburary 2016 15,
In Feburary 2016 15,
Form a committee of helpers who will assist you.
Decide whom you will invite to the luncheon beyond your group of church women, such as friends and family.
Plan the logistics. Pick a date and time for the luncheon. Most afternoon meals start between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Select a room or outdoor area on church property that will accommodate your group, and ask permission to use the location.
Identify the purpose of the luncheon, whether it's a fundraiser, a devotional, a social or something else. Pick a theme for the luncheon that's connected to the purpose. If the lunch is a social event, the theme could be 'Friendships in Bloom,' with décor and food centering on springtime and flowers.
Select light food items for your menu. Popular choices include finger sandwiches or cold cuts, soups, salads and fruit. If possible, connect your menu with the theme. For example, if you're hosting a 'Warming Hearts and Hands' luncheon to raise money to clothe the homeless, serve an array of hot soups. Don't forget about beverages and dessert.
Decide who will prepare the food. If it is a potluck, post the menu in a public place so women can sign up to bring specific dishes. Instead, you may want to assign the food preparation to few volunteer cooks. If you don't want to cook at all, buy the food or use a restaurant to cater the event.
Invite women to the luncheon by sending formal invitations to people's homes or handing them out at church. If it's more informal, ask the pastor to make an announcement at service or post the event in the church bulletin. Instruct ladies to R.S.V.P. so you can get an accurate head count.
Plan activities for the luncheon. A short devotional, games or songs are all appropriate for an informal social event. Arrange for a qualified keynote speaker if your goal is to inform or educate women. If it's a fundraiser, share information about who is benefiting from the money.
Decorate the tables and rooms where the luncheon will be held either the night before or that morning. Designate special tables for food, beverages and dessert. Make sure there are enough tables and chairs for every woman. Cover the tables and include a centerpiece. Decorate the room according to the theme.
Stand by the door and greet each woman as she arrives. After everyone has gathered, thank the ladies for coming and then give thanks to the Lord for the food.
Start the activities as soon as most people have eaten. If your room is large, use a microphone so everyone can hear you.
Close in prayer at the end of the luncheon. Stand by the door as women leave and thank them for coming.

How to Throw a Successful Lunch PartyIn Feburary 2016 10,
In Feburary 2016 10,
Choose a theme for your lunch party. Pick a theme that you can have fun with, such as a beach-themed party.
Send out invitations at least four to six weeks before the lunch party, which will give guests plenty of time to plan ahead for your event. Choose colorful invitations, create fliers, send out an email or verbally invite everyone by phone. Regardless of whether the lunch party is for co-workers, friends or family members, it's essential that you ask guests to RSVP so that you know how many people will be attending.
Set a budget for the lunch party once you know how many people will be attending. To throw a successful lunch party, you'll need to provide guests with a variety of tasty food options without putting yourself into a financial bind.
Prepare a menu that features food appropriate for lunch, such as sandwiches, salads, vegetables and appetizers. It is also important to have a variety of foods available to ensure that you can accommodate everyone's diets and food preferences.
Select appropriate beverages for your lunch party. Water, iced tea and soda are fine choices. Decide whether to serve alcohol. If you are on a tight budget, you may elect to not serve alcohol, which can be costly. Additionally, if you are hosting a lunch party at work, serving alcohol may not be appropriate. If you do choose to serve alcohol, keep them light and refreshing, and avoid hard liquors and dark wines, which are typically more potent.
Purchase decorations that accent your theme. For example, if you are throwing a beach-themed party, serve beverages in sand pails filled with ice, or fill vases with seashells to use as table centerpieces.
Prepare the food, which can be done the night before or the morning of the event. If you do not have time to prepare food, schedule a catering service a week before the party, and ask them to deliver the food at least a half-hour before the start time of your event. Since you will have a variety of foods, arrange the plates on the table buffet-style.
Entertain your guests. It is not necessary to have a disc jockey at your lunch party, but do liven the mood by playing music for your guests. Set up a table for card or board games so that guests can sit down and enjoy their lunch over a game. If you are holding a picnic lunch party, choose outdoor games that will encourage guests to socialize.

I Could Not Connect to the Server in FileZilla 1and1In Feburary 2016 03,
In Feburary 2016 03,
Users often confuse hosting accounts with FTP accounts. You enter the username and password for your hosting account to access the website control panel on 1and1. This username and password is not even relevant to FileZilla. Instead, you need to retrieve the details for your FTP account to use FileZilla. You get an FTP username and password in the welcome email when you join. If you no longer have access to this email, get your FTP username from inside the panel and set up a new password.
Account Management
Access your admin control panel by logging into your hosting account. If you have more than one domain, choose which one you want to administer. Select 'FTP Accounts' in the 'Webspace' menu to see your username -- this is the username that you enter into FileZilla to upload files to your website. However, because the password is hidden even in your own account for security reasons, you need to create a new password if you do not know it. Click 'Edit' to see the option to create a new password. Write this and the username down on a piece of paper to make sure you are using the correct account details in FileZilla. You can also click 'New User' to set up additional usernames and passwords for FTP purposes.
Establishing a Connection
Now that you are sure you have the correct username and password for your FTP account, you need to enter the correct information in FileZilla. Open the software, then click the 'Site Manager' icon, which has an image of two computers, near the top. In the window that pops up, select 'New Site' and enter any name for this site, then enter your website address; however, do not enter the 'http' and 'www' portions of the address -- for example, enter 'MySite.com,' not 'www.MySite.com.' Leave the port as '21' and the server type as 'FTP,' but change the 'Logontype' option to 'Normal.' Enter the FTP username and password that you've retrieved from the 'FTP Accounts' section in your 1and1 hosting account. Click 'Save and Exit.' To establish a connection, click the 'Site Manager' icon again, select your website and click 'Connect.'
Other Troubleshooting
If you are still experiencing connection problems, you may have an issue with the FileZilla FTP utility. Because this is free software, download another copy from FileZilla's website. If you still cannot connect with a new copy, 1and1 may be having a server issue; call 866-991-2631 to check the server's status. Another option is to try another free FTP client to isolate whether the problem is FileZilla or 1and1. Examples include Core FTP and Go FTP.
