How to Add Something to the Exceptions List With AVG FreeIn Feburary 2016 02,

In Feburary 2016 02,
Click AVG's icon (which is yellow, green, blue and red) in the taskbar's notification area to open the user interface. Click 'Tools' and select 'Advanced Settings.'
Click 'Excluded Items' under 'Resident Shield' in the left pane. Click 'Add Path' to add an entire directory and its sub-folders to the exceptions list. Select the folder on the 'Browse for Folder' dialog box and click 'OK' to place it in the exceptions. Click 'Add File' to make an exception for a single file. Locate the file in the dialog box that opens and click 'Open' to add it to the list.
Click 'PUP Exceptions' in the left pane to add specific program files that you want to exempt. Click 'Add Exception' and click the three-dot button beside 'File.' Select the program file in the 'Select File' dialog box and click 'Open.' Click the box beside 'Any Location---Do Not Use Full Path' to ignore the file regardless of its location on your hard drive. Click 'Add' to add the program to the list.
Click 'OK' at the bottom of the window to save your exceptions. Click 'Yes' on the User Account Control prompt if necessary.
