Make sure you have the right operating system on your computer to watch satellite TV online for free. You need to have Windows 95 through XP.
Check to be sure your PC has a Pentium 3 CPU, and is able to process at 333 MHz or more. A good video card, sound card, and a pretty good-sized screen can help as well. Add on some speakers to enhance the experience and you're good to go.
Do a search for free satellite TV by putting in 'watch satellite TV online' or something similar. You can also go directly to sites such as World TV PC and BeeLine TV (see Resources).
Find software for your TV that allows you to watch satellite TV on your PC for free. Once you have paid for the software, you can watch hundreds of satellite TV channels without paying for them. Be careful, though-some of the software may be part of a scam. Research the software before you buy.

How to Get Free Cable TV With an XboxIn Feburary 2016 01,

Go to a legal site that offers free downloads of cable TV shows (see Resources). Download these shows onto an external hard drive.
Check the back of your TV for either HDMI or RCA ports. Most TVs have RCA ports while HDTVs have HDMI ports. If your TV has both options, use the HDMI cable; it will supply a better sound and picture quality than the RCA. If you have RCA ports only, plug the red, white and yellow plugs into the ports of the matching colors on the TV and the Xbox. If you are using HDMI, plug the HDMI cable into the TV then into the Xbox.
Plug the hard drive into any of the USB ports on the Xbox 360. Turn on the TV, the Xbox 360 and the hard drive. Navigate the options on the Xbox 360 until you get to the 'Video' folder. Select 'Portable Device,' then select a video file within the folder. A message will appear requiring you to download an update to play the video. Agree to the download and follow the directions on screen.
Navigate back to the video folder and select 'Portable Device.' Your hard drive is the portable device. Then, select the TV show you want to play. Xbox 360 will only play AVI and WMA video files, so make sure you pick a file in the supported format.
